Am I the only one that's deeply disappointed with the fact that one of my most favorite aspects of New Leaf, Club Tortimer, is gone without a trace in this game? Meeting people from all around the globe and broadening your horizons with newborn friendships was a very substantial part of New Leaf for me and I'm shocked to see it has disappeared leaving behind not even a modicum of legacy.

i definitely miss club tortimer - i miss the games and shark/beetle farming a lot ;u;

me & my friend were just talking about this last night. and for this very reason, it makes the miles tickets look WAY overpriced if you compare it to kappn's bell bought tickets. considering the former has a basket, shop, mini games, and it's not a randomized island, the 2k seems to go through so quick and it's not really that easy to earn.

mind you, at first people were dismissing me & telling me "but they are so easy to earn" just wait until the game progresses and you have more things to buy lol.

add to that: we have to do tricks (the tarantula one, or sturgeon, which will end this month btw) to be able to farm, with tortimer's you just have to pick a good time!

How could have that slipped my recollection!? Thanks for reminding me of the abundance of memories I have making bells early on when the game first released which comprised of catching copious amounts of beetles with my newly made CT friends haha. Good times lol, those days were teeming with simplicity and jubilance.

This actually crossed my mind several times, the nook miles thing and accumulating thing feels like a very alienated concept to me. I feel like they deliberately made this game much more difficult and unforgiving to it's players which kind of eradicates the relaxing qualities I have always known Animal Crossing to epitomize.

It was nice for bell farming and tours were really fun but it became flooded with hackers and 12 year old trolls overtime :lemon:

it used to be SO easy to farm and pay your loan after a few visit to the island, but i guess with the removal of public works projects, they adjusted the game so it balances it out. like, remember how expensive were those lighthouse and stuff lol. but yeah, i'm still adjusting to this concept of finishing tasks to get a ticket that is randomized.

i miss the minigames and all the cool stuff you could buy from collecting medals SO bad, and kappn's songs!! i love kappn so i hardly ever skipped the scene with him and playing the tortimer island minigames with my friends when we did multiplayer was always so fun. i miss it a lot and i hope it or something like it will come back in an update.

hi, just want to formally apologise for being one of those 12 year old trolls
i thought it was so hilarious to wear a troll mii mask, a naked boob qr code shirt and shrunk shuffle for literally a whole hour while the tour was loading (if you shrunk shuffled while you all sat down for a tour, it wouldn't start until you stopped shuffling). I ruined many lives and scarred many childhoods I would imagine and for that I am so utterly sorry. sorry for the pain I caused. sorry for the time I wasted. sorry to the people involved and their families.

the amount of people I hit over the head with a net while they were innocently collecting resources from the island gives me flashbacks every day. flashbacks of the evil monster i used to be.
perhaps, even... the evil monster that still lurks inside to this very day.

Yeah, I really liked the games! And it was fun for online play

It's a little harder to do, but you can farm tarantulas/scorpions on the random Islands. I've done it 3 times now, bringing home 104 tarantulas. So if beetle farming was your thing, there is still a good farming method available.

The hard part is you have to move all trees, weeds, rocks, debre, and destroy flowers for each and every island. You also have to find an island that isn't mostly river. Bamboo islands work the best obviously, but are not a requirement.

The online Club Tortimer? No. I ran into too many toxic people there and I didn't even try visiting it that much.

I used it a lot offline/my own island. I had it perfectly set up for beetle spawning. I do miss the easy bells from that.

I don't care about the mini-games though. They were a mild amusement at first, but they quickly felt boring. I hated having to grind them for medals to buy the exclusive island items. Maybe they'd be more fun multiplayer, but after the grind of playing it so much for medals, I don't feel like playing them anymore.

I didn’t use Club Tortimer much because I was often in areas without the internet, but I feel like if it were to be in NH it might not be as crowded as it was in NL due to the Nintendo Online subscription

I miss it :( that was kind of the only way to make friends tbh. For NH i was lucky enough to have lots of online friends from other games that also got NH, but yeah, I liked it haha. I also liked all the exclusives you could get and the wetsuits D:
