≫ I originally created my first island (Calypso) on March 20th - since then I've reset 3 times! I'm finally happy with my island and haven't time travelled since I started it c:

Hello! my name is Jade, I'm 24 and from the UK! I've been playing Animal Crossing since WW and can't tell you how excited I was for NH to release - I bought the switch when it first released in anticipation of the game! haha. I'm currently studying to become a teacher and will begin my undergraduate course in September of this year (hopefully)! I absolutely loved blogging when I played NL, and I thought this would be nice as well - I didn't take many screenshots in the beginning of the game so will be updating you from where I'm at now

I'm sure you're all aware that today is May Day! Which means it's time for another exciting new event, yay!
I remember catching a glimpse of rover during the video that Nintendo shared, and I was so excited to have my favourite kitty back in game ♡ I have so much nostalgia associated with him and I so wish you could have him as a resident on your island!

I didn't find the maze too challenging, and I actually really enjoyed the 'puzzle solving' aspect of it - it would be nice if they could include things like this for multiplayer occasions. Gives me BOTW vibes!
≫ My poor poor kitty is definitely showing signs of age. We've known each other for 14 years Rover, come on!
I spent my morning hunting (to no avail) for the elusive Coelacanth as it was raining, as well as decorating and moving the museum. I always struggle with visualising areas and spend most of my time erasing paths/patterns because I don't like how they look. I see so many gorgeous islands on here and twitter and I wish I had a crumb of the creativity they possess!
Here are some progress pics, but they're all still very much a WIP:

i love the natural foresty theme you have going on your island, and i also love how you have nooks surrounded by cliffs its all so cozy looking! especially in the rain! also love to see nana and maple and erik

I was just messing around with it the other day and actually liked how it turned out - I'd love to terraform all over my island to get different layers but it's just so time-consuming and if I don't like it I don't think I'll have the strength to tear it down hahaha. They're very cute!! Maple has been my fave for a while now and I'm so happy she's on my island ♡
Yeah I totally agree - especially because online isn't free anymore! I'm sure they've got plenty more things in the pipeline for us, and I've actually seen a lot of people do similar things on their own island while terraforming!! Meanwhile I'm over here with 1 braincell trying to think of ways to line my paths up haha!

HAHA and your island entrance is GORGEOUS!! im trying to figure out a foresty area for my home as well and i just can't seem to get it quite right, however you do it so well!!! can't wait to see how your island progresses along ;o;

I love love love woodland/cottagecore - I see loads of posts on twitter that inspire me for certain areas, the majority of my island is still a huge WIP but I have some areas that are developing quite well. I find not TTing gives me more time to spend on certain areas and actually think about the layout which helps me a lot! Also your island is gorgeous!!

Hello! I'm posting this a day late - I lost track of time yesterday, I spent most of the day landscaping my island and visiting friends/having friends visit me which was really nice
thought I'd do a quick update whilst dinner is cooking!My day started with a letter from Erik - he seems to always have fleas, has he never thought of bathing before?!
≫ he really has a bug problem
I had a little bit of drama with Mom's Knapsack, but I woke up this morning and when I checked my mail she had written me a letter and attached it! I was so worried I'd get the yellow bag (with my luck so far on this island I wouldn't have been shocked), but to my surprise it was a gorgeous white floral bag!

I then received my first fabric from Sable! I absolutely love the development of her character and it's always been one of my favourite aspects of past AC games, and unlocking new designs is a cool bonus for chatting to her c:

I decided to take a break from landscaping for a while and checked in with Coco - it's the first time I've been inside her house since she moved to Mochi, and I absolutely love the aesthetic she has going on!
≫ I love how carefully she's analysing the straw bed. (note to self: craft her a proper bed)
My house is a huge WIP, but one of my friends sent me this gorgeous floral green dress! Even Coco approved of it!
I have no idea where the green theme began but I absolutely love it, one of my friends told me I look like the green faerie from neopets so maybe it's an in-game cosplay :')

I spent the rest of the night having friends over and visiting their island, and as the night got later we started to doze off..
UNTIL I REALISED IT WAS A SATURDAY. MY FIRST SATURDAY WITH K.K. SLIDER!!
I ran over as soon as everybody had left and listened to Bubblegum K.K. for the first time on my island, and I now have the song playing outside of Resident Services constantly! Can't wait to catch some cute snippets of my villagers singing along to it!

I had my first thunderstorm on Mochi!
Rainy weather is my favourite in real life, so to experience it in-game for the first time was magical. I love being all cosy in bed and watching my town light up like a firework show!

I also caught this gorgeous beastie which I thought matched my attire perfectly :') I'll definitely be saving any more I catch so I can get a model from Flick - I'm working on my Museum area and want it to tie in with the fossil/bug/fish theme.
≫ they're so beautiful in game, but I know for a fact if I saw one in real life I'd run a mile
I'm probably be going to do weekly (or bi-weekly) updates rather than daily, just because I don't want to get too overwhelmed while trying to focus on school work <3

ahhhhh i LOVE the thunderstorms in this game it's so good, the way the whole island lights up. i've only had one so far but im so excited for the next one. rainy weather is my favorite on pillow, and i can't wait for if they ever bring gyroids back! it'll make it that much better
and woah thats a beautiful butterfly. i havent done too much catching of new bugs/fish so i need to start working on that soon. i also love to collect butterflies and stuff to give to flick, i've gotten a decent like 5 models so far and i love them!

i really hope they do! I’ve been quite lucky with rain on my island, I’ve had quite a few relaxing rainy days (still no coelacanth though..), and I love the music that accompanies it!

I’ve been a bit lazy with my encyclopaedia but I’m trying to keep it fun and I love seeing new bugs/fish! Just don’t want it to turn into a huge chore like hunting for the Stringfish was haha.

I began my day searching for the daily diy, and accidentally caught Klaus doing his business! He may look shocked here but I assure you, he's way too comfortable around me.

I wandered around my island for a little afterwards and caught Erik being a cutie, he also later ran over to me and gave me a new reaction!

≫ finally, something that I can use all the time!
I also checked in on Coco and she wasn't well, so I mothered her a little and gave her some medicine. She chirped up a little while later and gave me a GORGEOUS DIY, which i'm sure was her way of saying thank you.
≫ ah yes, thanks for the subtle reminder than it's been 3 weeks since my last workout..
≫ it's okay though, the terrarium made up for it ♡
Isabelle also made an announcement to tell me someone was visiting the campsite! I have 10 villagers already so I was kind of hoping it wasn't a dreamie - she's still cute though!

I spent most of yesterday decorating my island and trying to organise actual places. I'm going for a natural woodland vibe so tried to include as many cedars and cosmos as possible (because that's what natural means in my head apparently). Honestly, I've reset 3 times and I think this is the first time I've ever been happy with my island and the placement of things. I really hope you enjoy the pictures I'm about to share ♡

Whilst wandering around my island, I noticed Maple suspiciously spying on Coco. I have absolutely no idea why, but it made for a cute photo opportunity at least.

CJ was also on my island for the first time! He gave me the challenge of catching 3 small fish in a row - I was actually quite lucky with this, because as soon as I'd caught the fish my fishing rod broke! I really need to add more DIY workbenches around my island so I'm not running miles to craft haha.
