Over the past two days I've been catching a few new bugs. They all came a sort of surprise and I didn't expect for me to catch them so quickly, considering most of them really aren't available until late fall. So here comes the list of my new catches!
So to write a sort of prologue on how this all started, it all began yesterday night, right before the fireworks started. I was hitting my town's rocks with my shovel, hoping to strike the money rock so I could get Redd's cookies, when suddenly, a weird fuzzy bug popped out from one of them! I was so startled I forgot to take out my net. I ended up running around it and yelling, "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!". After doing a bit of research, I found out it was a house centipede. I tried hitting other rocks that night but nothing happened. So I ended up giving up for the night, determined to give it another go tomorrow.
After returning home from a morning shift at work, I turned on my game and immediately got to work. I ran around town for a while but was having no luck. In doing further research, I found that that bug only appears after 7pm. I had a while to go so I ended up just doing my usual. As I was running around town, I noticed alot of grasshoppers running about. I whipped out my net and started to catch a few for some Bells. On my third catch, I noticed that I had caught a rice grasshopper!

I was surprised at this catch, considering I thought I had caught all the types of grasshopper. I guess my "cicada-way-of-thinking" has surprised me yet again x)
After taking a break and running some errands, I came back to my game. I saw it was about 7:30 and was excited to finally catch the house centipede! I ran around hitting all the rooks, saving and continuing when nothing popped up. After a few attempts, I caught a normal centipede.

I was a bit disappointed but, hey! A new bug's a new bug right? One more donation towards the museum!
I kept up my search but nothing was coming up. Around 8, I saw a small black thing pop from one of the rocks I hit. Thinking it was a flea, I planned to ignore it but ended up catching it anyway. To my slightly happy surprise, it was a pill bug!

Another bug for the encyclopedia and my town's museum!
Despite three new bugs being caught, I was getting a bit irritated. I felt like it was gonna be one of those bugs you'd never see but two times in the game, like scorpions and turantulas. After a few more hits, I was pretty close to giving up. Finally, after running back to my house to put my shovel and net away, I caught one!! I had spotted a rock near my house I had forgotten to hit and snagged the house centipede!

After all that hard work, it finally payed off! On top of the bug I was looking for, I got three new catches! I'd say it was a pretty damn good day for bug catching
