This time, it did not show up as spam, it did not give me a warning, and if I actually had a Paypal account I may have fallen for it. They even faked the link. It says you'll go to Paypal.com, but it would actually bring you to a different site ( which normal people wouldn't be able to see

 ). And the email said it came from service@paypal.com.

Before I didn't know how anyone could fall for these... but this email I got was almost identical to a real email from paypal.
Wow. What if yousecretly do have Paypal and it's not fake

I don't. <_<

So the only other option is that someone for whatever reason is using my email address. But remember that this isn't the first time I've gotten stuff like this... and the link wasn't actually what they said it was.

Just kidding

:p But you are known pretty well. Someone could've easliy seached StromTrooper88888 on Google and got your email.

Plus there are 700 suspects at TBT o_O

You probably have to verify your email anyway... which would be impossible if they used mine. And I don't see the benefits in using someone else's email address.

I've never got one involving paypal or ebay or anything. But I did get one that said it was from the FBI, and I needed to download some questions and answer them >_>

That attempt at phishing is still pretty flimsy, if you ask me. I can outline two problems with it, off the bat:

1) It mentions that account access has been partially restricted. Simply logging on and checking would prove this false.

2) This is at least one instance of incorrect spelling on that excerpt. "Please click on the link bellow"?

Still, I can understand why it would fool some people- particularly those not incredibly experienced with emailing, and the internet in general.

Anyone who does not know what phising is or is not looking for it, would most likely not realize.
