Did anyone else watch the nintendo treehouse section on AC:AF that just aired??

They said, in plain english, that the board game is the only part of the game they are allowed to show at E3. And there are other modes we'll hear about soon!!! - they also gave a ton of info.

~whole segment~

Theories? I was excited with it just being a board game. :p

If the mini-games turn out to be REALLY good, I'd probably change my mind about the game. This was only E3, lots of stuff can be changed before the game is released.

It sounded to me that the game will be like Nintendoland, with a bunch of different games to play, and one of them is a board game.

This is why nobody should bash the game based on the limited knowledge we have right now. You just don't know what the game is going to be like!

An Animal Crossing amusement kind of thing would be a really cute and unique idea! I'd really like to know about the different modes.

Yeah, I'm ignoring any hate it's receivng right now. Seeing as everyone is screaming hype for AC:HHD and a month ago everyone was saying it will be awful.

I love AC, and I loved the old mario party games, so I'll probably love this. Anything else is a bonus, and I'm still convinced a Wii U full AC game will release eventually. This will tide me over nicely and it comes out this year. ~ so we'll likely see another mode(s) in the next direct. (early August?)
Also I'd rather not repeat ACNL with it's announcement in June 2010, and not getting it until 3 years later. That was too long!

I just finished watching this part of the nintendo treehouse. I am glad there is more to look forward to in the game. Also here is a description listed from the amazon bundle maybe a little spoiler for now?

"Another mode challenges players to help animals gather supplies to build a raft and escape an island before time runs out."

well it's not made by nd cube, it's more than just a boardgame, so once people get over their saltiness over no ac wii u this game looks like it might shape up to be alright

Personally I think it's a cute idea for a game but not a full priced game. I'm happy to hear that their is going to be more party games, I just wonder what kind? I hope it's online multiplayer too and not just local!

I'm still trying to convince my self it's terrible because my gamepad broke and the gamepad costs about as much as the Wii U does. I hope the NX is backwards compatible, because I really want this.

For anyone who is too lazy or doesn't have time to watch the video, here's a quick overview;

? whoever has the most happy points at the end of the game wins
? bells will be converted to happy points
? animals live in the town
? your character will interact with animals that live in town
? the host animal that explains all the board game rules also lives in the town
? Katie likes to collect cards and also puts event spaces on the board

? you earn item cards that let you do special things, like move a certain amount of spaces
? interacts with Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer via amiibo cards
? use amiibo cards to invite animals to the boards game
? if you designed a home for someone in Happy Home Designer, that home will be brought to the board game as well

Never mind the board game, if your in England only buy your amiibo once mine are secured. I want amiibo for once before the scalpers and jasonburrows

I'm more concerned with the entire shipment being stolen during transit. :p / Or you should be concerned that I'll steal the entire shipment. I think whoever done this with the squid amiibo had the right idea, get them all before the inevitable shop wars.

I don't really find K.K. with a guitar case that important.

You also forgot Katrina, with her tarot card fortunes and everything.

Before you say it's quite rude, I find it polite to correct others. :)

That's what the TreeHouse woman said, but how much more is unknown. Plus, this is a working demo shown at E3, not a full game to begin with.

If you watched the video you would know that one of the Japanese ladies who worked on the game mentioned that K.K. doesn't wear clothes. I think the only reason he mentioned it was because itwas said during game play.

She said that herself, I didn't find that too bothersome that he was not wearing any clothes. I think it just adds to his character and sticks to the simple design that K.K. has.
