If you had to decide on one, what format do you use most to listen to music?

For me, it's through an MP3 player. I use pretty much all the different ways, but I find myself using MP3s the most, even more than digital streaming services like Spotify. I'm curious about what others use because I saw a youtube thumbnail last night that claims that MP3 players and CDs are a dead format which is surprising to me, though I'm not surprised that it baffles me cause I seem to be stuck in the state of technology that was present in the years 1995-2005 lol

I'll upload a poll a few min after posting this :>

I guess it would be MP3 but now that I've got Spotify premium it's less MP3 and more Streaming. Also, despite that, I still buy CDs when I can to support the artists!

I buy albums on itunes and then listen to them on my phone. I never listen to individual songs and I'm really picky so I don't think streaming would be for me.

I go to the local pub and use the jukebox :lemon:

But seriously I use spotify and music i downloaded on my phone for the most part.

Ah, that brings back memories.

Walk in, order a beer, put 20 cents in the jukebox, and sit back and listen to Paranoid, Black Sabbath. (The only decent song on there all those years ago.)

Now I use mostly streaming, but for the longest time I used CD's and my ipod.

I love simply using Spotify and a good pair of headphones.

But in super a close second, I love listening to my mom's old vinyl records.

That's a great song. One of my favorites from Black Sabbath. :)

I mostly listen to music through an MP3 player now. It's nice because it's easy to carry and use at work and it holds enough songs that I can keep most of my favorites on there. I don't like to use my phone because it's not a very good phone and I don't want to use up too much space on it. I almost always buy the CDs though and upload them to support the artists. The only time I download individual songs is when it's something I can't find or order easily, like some Japanese or anime music.

I do occasionally use YouTube to find new albums or artists. Also, I only listen to the radio when I'm in the car because I can't be bothered to plug anything in. I live in a small town, so I'm usually not in the car for more than 10-15 minutes at a time anyway.

I prefer listening through YouTube or illegally downloading the YouTube MP3 to my iPod. I'm a bit older fashioned but that's okay.

Spotify, for the win :lemon:

If not, I just buy CDs then import them onto my phone or iPad, lol.

MP3 player for me, but once in awhile I'll do CDs. I'm kinda old fashion like my dad, he does the same thing too. I never really tried other things, just those two. :p

I have two iPods and a Sansa Clip MP3 player and those three devices have just about all the music I want to listen to loaded onto them.I'm considering getting a fourth MP3 player just for classical music.I gotta have my Mozart and Tchaikovsky fix every once in a while.I also have a bunch of CDs I still listen to.

YouTube and SoundCloud. I will have Twitch streams playing in the background too at times.
I am more likely to listen to people talking as opposed to music, so I do not have any services for it really.
Long ago I use to have an MP3 player with maybe 10 songs; really picky when it comes to music.
In the car I do not mind listening to some generally older stuff on the radio (70's-90's).

Vinyls, even though our player is broke :/ For good or bad I mostly use my mp3player or just youtube though, sometimes I play files on my computer but I wouldn't pay for Spotify or that stuff.

When I'm at home listening to music, usually just youtube. I liked Spotify too but it's not available in my region. When I'm out and I want to listen to music, I have 1 playlist on my iphone with maybe 20 songs that I change periodically because my phone has no space anymore and my other mp3 player is broken :"D I've also purchased a lot of songs from apple music so I prefer being able to access itunes.

I just track stuff down on YouTube to listen to in the background while doing other things. Used to be a cassette and CD person, but never made the jump to MP3 or streaming since it has long felt like getting a player would be an unnecessary purchase. Vinyls are pretty cool and I have stuff that could play them, but I've never really gotten into the habit before.
