I think I need to plant more sugar cane and wheat than the other crops. How many of crops are you planting? I’m afraid to plant too many. Pumpkins got out of hand really quickly! LOL

I planted 16 of each crop, which yields 48 of each if watered every day! I haven't had any shortages so far since the recipes don't require that much, but I tend to use a lot more wheat and sugarcane since that translates into flour and sugar. After crafting every recipe I've gotten so far, I have an abundance of tomatoes, carrots, and potatoes!

I also planted 16 of each crop! I had 20 of each at first, but I trimmed it down to make a little more wiggle room for decorating. I haven’t cooked anything yet, since I wanna unlock more recipes first, but I’ll be more than prepared for when I do.

I try to plant an even amount of everything for now, at least until I get all the DIYs and see what's used the most. For now I've planted 10 of everything, but that could definitely change as I continue on.

I have about 5 of each... which is a lot already. 😅 Haven't been cooking much. My wheat hasn't grown yet and I'm still missing sugarcane.

I still have my pumpkin farm that is... a lot of pumpkin plants lol. I have so many pumpkins I'm not even harvesting them anymore, it's jjust decoration at this point.

For the other crops, I have 8 tomato/carrot/potato plants and 12 wheat/sugarcane ones because I'm out of space and once I made all the dishes I'm not going to need them anymore.

Wheat and sugarcane are definitely most used, I have nine of each planted, though, apart from my slightly larger pumpkin patch back from Halloween 2020 that I never tore down…

I planted 16 pumpkins (4 of each color) forever ago. With the new crops, I planted 12 wheat, and 9 of the other 4 crops (tomatoes, carrots, sugarcane, potatoes).

I’m just here trying to find space on my island to plant at least 2-3 of each. I have my pumpkin patch which has 2 of each color. Then I also have some potatoes by my Junkyard scattered throughout (about 4-5 of these). Now I just have to figure out where I can plant the rest. I had originally planned of setting up a little farm area before the update, but that didn’t work out.

I planted 16 of each (4 of each color pumpkin). I put 40 of everything in my storage, so now I use my new crops for crafting and cash. Watering daily during growth yields plenty!

I just got one for the first time in a bit and planted 5 of each. Not sure if that'll be enough but that's all the room I had for now. May plant more eventually once I realize what the DIYs call for the most. Just happy that there's finally crops in the first place!

I’m probably buying as many wheat starts as will fit in my inventory when Leif has them and squeezing them into every place I can where they won’t be in the way, just because you need an immense amount of flour to make all the recipes and I try to make everything at least once. I’ve been planting ten of everything, except I don’t remember how many pumpkins I already had growing and I doubled the sugarcane. When I added up the ingredients for all the recipes, I realized I’d soon have way more than I need if I do twenty each like I’d initially planned, and rows of five fit perfectly in the space I cleared for new produce.

This is my crops
I've not got orange pumpkins there but that's because they did not fit, and they are growing all over my autumn/orange/Halloween Themed island anyhow

Edit: I invited my husband over because I have celeste and just realised he stole crops and never told me so I could water them.
Thanks a lot dude...

My most used crops are the wheat and sugarcane. Those two crops are essential for the savory and sweet food diys, respectively. After planting 6 of each new veggie, I decided to plant 6 more for wheat and sugarcane because I use them so much. Its great that 5 wheat and 5 sugarcane produce 10 flour/w.g flour and 10 sugar/b. sugar.
