I'll probably mostly play on my tv and sometimes handheld if I'm doing something like making a pattern.
I absolutely loved playing every game I've had for the switch on the tv; especially dragon quest builders 2 and dont see why new horizons wouldn't look and feel just as amazing this way.

I'll play mostly on TV, because I don't feel very safe bringing my switch everywhere as a handheld where I live. I also have a very comfortable tv setup to play at home. :)

I'd like everyone to know, HDMI = HDMI. You don't necessarily need to own a TV to dock. If you own an HDMI computer monitor, that will work just as well. You just have to supply your own speakers/headphones as monitors don't generally have built-in speakers like a TV.

I super miss playing Animal Crossing on home console, so docked! I'll probably only play it handheld if I'm traveling or need to escape somewhere quiet.

I'm probably going to use handheld more than anything because I live with my boyfriend and he usually likes to play ps4 so I don't want to completely take over. I'll more than likely be playing this game constantly for hours at a time haha.

I do want to try using it docked though, I did use it occasionally for Pokemon and spyro but I preferred handheld - maybe seeing NH on the big screen will change me and unlock the nostalgia I had in the gamecube days.

Definitely handheld. I do have a good tv setup but I honestly only play games I use Motion controls with on like Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2, and Mario Kart.

I get so much more comfortable when playing handheld. Sometimes I’m so lazy that I lay down while playing which doesn’t work so well on a tv as you can’t easily turn a tv on its side like the Switch.

probably entirely handheld. i've never played animal crossing another way! but i'll definitely try out tv/docked to see how i like it.

I'll most likely play it mainly on docked, because I'm planning on streaming it on twitch!

Docked on my 28inch monitor, been waiting to play Animal Crossing on a big screen for years. Even picked up a pair of speakers so I'd have decent audio quality since the built in monitor speakers aren't that great. I might also play on Handheld mode but only if I'm gonna be out for a bit.

Always handheld, I'm basically always travelling/on the go and I feel more comfortable being able to move around while still playing.

I'll be playing mostly handheld. I love playing games in bed while I'm all wrapped up in my blanket!

60% handheld and 40% docked/TV.

I love the ability the switch has to play on the TV so I def would want to use that as much as possible. However since Animal Crossing is more of a designing game where you are (or at least I was) very concentrated most of the time I would want to do that handheld because doing that on the TV would give me a headache after a while. I played most of pokemon sword/shield on my tv because it was more walking around, battling from a fixed screen, and not as like "complex" if that makes sense. When I played New Leaf I would have to wear my reading glasses because I would be concentrating so hard on designing a room or something. So for just walking around, exploring, talking to villagers, and stuff like that I can do on the TV but for designing a space I would do it in handheld mode with my reading glasses on, otherwise I would get a headache from the TV.

I'll probably play both ways. I like playing on the tv but I also don't want to hog the TV when other people are home so I'm planning on playing in handheld mode too.

I'd like everyone to know, HDMI = HDMI. You don't necessarily need to own a TV to dock. If you own an HDMI computer monitor, that will work just as well. You just have to supply your own speakers/headphones as monitors don't generally have built-in speakers like a TV.

That is a great point and it's something I wish I could utilize if I get a regular Switch, but unfortunately I don't have a monitor either. My laptop is my only computer.

I tend to play a lot in bed, on the couch while watching something, or at work. So I mainly play handheld.

Honestly, though, it does kind of depend on the game. Breath of the Wild, for instance, BEGS for a bigger screen. But New Horizons? Yeah, I'll be handheld 98% of the time.

Both, I prefer to play on TV, the screen is larger, but I also like to play on my bed handhelded or when I?m away.

Handheld, because I own a Switch Lite. I like to play in my bed

I exclusively play games on the Nintendo Switch with it docked, as I prefer to play games on a big screen whenever possible. I intend to do the same with Animal Crossing New Horizons.

I’ll probably do both. But leaning toward more handheld. I’m just used to Animal Crossing being handheld, since I played New Leaf and Wild World way more than the other games.

I will definitely play mostly docked, probably about 95 percent. Thats how I prefer to play all Switch games. I will take it handheld on the road if I go on vacation though, like I'm planning to do the first week of April.
