:c I know, but 7 was just a really awkward number to try to play with for balancing purposes. A mafia team of one isn't really viable or fun outside of dethys - which allow for only five participants - and a mafia team of two would be too overpowered since town would basically be in MYLO on day one. 9 is about the bare minimum to give town a fighting chance against a two person mafia team, so really since we're at 8 now if we can get one more person to sign up then I'll start it there

I was going off the guide posted that said there should be one mafia for every 5 players (so 2 mafia would require 10 players). And I haven't seen many purely mountainous games. All the 9 player games I've seen (like your most recent one) have had a cop. Like I said, I'm not opposed to starting with 9 though. I did send out a few PMs, but I can send out the roles later tonight if no one wants the 10th spot by then.

Alright signups are officially closed and role PMs have been sent. As stated in the title, the game will begin Thursday, September 9th at 2pm EDT. A bit of a wait, I know and I'm sorry, but I want to make sure that everyone has 24 hours to read and react to their role PMs as well as starting the game at the official start time.

9 with 2 is a little more maf-sided than 10 with 2 but that's just my opinion about lylo vs mylo in a day 3 with both mafia still alive. Time is town's best tool in the absence of PRs. But at the end of the day it still boils down to which alignment works harder as a whole.

Btw since the game has been randed and thread is open we're in a pre-game that can be read into! Dan definitely wolfin, he said "your boy" in his first post-rand post as a subtle socio-linguistic appeal. Get him!!!
