So we know that there is 8 player simultaneous multiplayer. 4 players per Nintendo Switch system or 8 players online or local wireless. This looks great so far and I love the idea of switching leaders. I wonder if what was shown of the single screen multiplayer is the same with how it works online.

Anyways, I was wondering... In New Leaf you could essentially play minigames with others with the Island Tours on Tortimer Island. Do you think that it will be back and the deserted island is just somewhere near Tortimer Island? Or will there be no minigames at all this time around? Or will there be a completely different location to play from?

I think the tours will return in some way as the developers said that they wanted to make the game ''perfect''. We're not sure wat perfect means of course but to me that means that they won't be removing fan favorite features at the very least.

I think the mini games will return but maybe not as many. I can’t speak for other people, but I don’t tend to play the mini games that much. It’s something fun to do if I’m bored but it’s not a feature in the game I use often, and I think this might influence Nintendo and how much they develop the mini game in NH. I think mini games will be there in a form but potentially not as extensive as the island is in NL.

That makes sense, I admit that it was a bit of a hassle to get everyone in the boat to the island too and alone I never really bothered with it. I know a lot of players who enjoyed going to the island all the time however so it's hard to say how the fanbase is divided on this.

Maybe they could let you access mini games through the NookPhone?

If they made it less annoying to play minigames it would be fun. Heck, multiplayer in general in past AC games is so annoyingly done I hope they improve it.

Yeah the whole thing with opening gates and stuff was fun in a way but also really inconvenient and it gets old after a while. Hopefully they streamline all of this through the NookPhone, it really seems like a perfect solution to many of the franchise's problems.
