The absolute best feature to me so far is being able to send your friends mail/gifts via the internet!
Gone are the days of arranging a meetup time to visit a friend's town to drop off mail a9which ruined some of the surprise imo). I can just send it whenever once I've made contact with them in-game!
I'm frequently going broke just from sending gifts to friends. I send 1-3 batches per day xD

I waste the majority of my bells and materials sending my friends gifts I think theyll love ; u;
It makes me happy knowing theyll log in and have something new to wear or display that makes them happy!
You still have to visit them or they visit you at least once (some form of in-game contact) so you can get their "address" registered to your game, but after that you can spam their inboxes with gifts!
Whoa this is really cool! I didn't know this was a feature! Sure makes things a whole lot easier, and much more convenient! Plus it's just nice to be able to send things to your friends!
You can gift human players that are on your island too, when you buy stuff through the Nook Stop machine. It shows up with the gift option and lets you attach a letter to it for free. I like it a lot!
Now the Nookling store just needs the option to gift. That would be great!
I agree, I love this feature! I have an irl friend who has played AC with me since childhood but it's a struggle to find the time to connect these days; being able to send each other notes and gifts without them being online is a really cute way of interacting without heavily impacting how typically single player the game is imo.
it's so nice!! i've been sending presents back and forth with my irl friends. any time they visit my island and want something from my house it's easy to go order it directly for them from the catalogue.
I've made one or two pen-pals from people who added me either here or on reddit. if anyone wants to be pen-pals/do gift exhanges please add me and PM me here so I know who you are! I'm happy to check out towns and send gifts that fits the towns theme!
