I'm so excited!

I ordered the parts (financed lol) for my first PC build! And I am STOKED. Original they werent suppose to get here until mid to late May, which was fine.
Then suddenly this week they started arriving!
Just checked... last parts are to be in THIS FRIDAY!!

I had to buy EVERYTHING. (I lost all my gaming PC stuff in my divorce a couple years ago)
Had to get monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc and even the tools... (my screw drivers are.magnetic tipped. Big bad)

I researched myself.
Put the build together myself.
And hopefully saturday... but it together by myself in my garage away from my 3 fur brats.

I know some people have been building PCs since they were kids. So big whoop for me to be excited about, right? But i was poor as a kid. Barely had access to a working home telephone.
Now... now I am building my own roughly $1.8k PC all by myself.

I'm going to be so happy to stop seeing this forum on mobile only. Lol

congratulations! i’ve never built my own pc but props to anyone who has or will!

Actually yes! I've done it several times (not all of them for me, it's an expensive hobby) but it's exciting every time!

I wish you the best of luck. It's so much fun.

AYYYY awesome!

What parts are you gonna be running?

Im running a
MSI Z390 Godlike Motherboard
i9-9900k
RTX 2080
32 GB Trident Z royal
Kraken-x72 Liquid cooler
1TB 970 EVO PRO SSD
2 TB HD
850w PSU Platinum
Dark base pro 2 full tower

Aw congrats! I could never do something like that, I’m not clever enough lol. I bought my PC by someone who had built it themselves and they did a fantastic job, and considering I got a bundle (mouse, keyboard & monitor) the pricing wasn’t too bad either.

Sorry I got busy building so could reply.

Here is a link to the parts I used w/ really crappy photos til I can get better ones... these were taken at like 11pm.
I don't have the keyboard/mouse or monitor listed.

I had a bit of a nightmare with the monitor not recognizing the system so I could not get the boot up to display to install or do anything.
Reseated RAM x2
Reseated GPU
Changed power cables to GOY x6 (while video chatting a friend for suggestions)
Switched from MOBO to GPU to MOBO HDMI idk how many times

FINALLY it started working....

I have come to the conclusion that the MOBO HDMI port is not working. And I am annoyed. But GPU HDMI is working so idgaf. lol

The audio/mic jacks in the front and back of the system have been driving my absolutely insane. The front panel ones of case are not working (MOBO only had 1 place for me to plug the audio front panel into so that isnn't the problem.) The back of the MOBO has about 6? 3.5mm jacks. I got it to work briefly for sound to my headset but never the mic. Trying to get the mic to work made audio not work anymore... out of frustration I ordered at USB headset on amazon a lil after midnight.
