For your style I'd focus less on hard detailing like you have been and work more on the figures and building form. From what it looks like you're jumping fast into detail work when it needs to be gradual and built up on from gesture to finished product. Your edges are hard when you need a gentle cascade into a background. You're getting there, just take it slow.
