So I am an art student, I want to be a comic book artist, but I can't say I'm the best at real-life drawings. So I'm hoping that you all have kind comments and kind criticisms. I do more cartoon/anime style but I am quite proud with how this hand came out; both realistic and yet able to tell it's a drawing. Please let me know what you all think!

Cool, cool. Is the first drawing from a still-life or what my school called "Analysis of Form" class. I think it reads well what it is, a hand holding a cube. I'm a little confused on how you shaded unless this was purely experimental. I would just say be careful of your values.

Your anime style is really pretty. You kind of have that xxxHolic look with the hair strands. If you wanted to add a little color, watercolor (traditionally or digitally) or even simple cel shading would look nice. Otherwise, it works well just being black and white.

The hand was experimental because I'm not the best with realistic shades ^^; most things I do I don't finish the shading, or it isn't realistic so this was a shot since the angle of light made the hand overall pretty dark.

But thank you for the comment on my anime work. I did do the hair in a digital water color for my digital foundations class. Though on a whole I prefer black and white compare to color ^^

Ahh thank you! I based the hair off of "Kimi Ni Todoke" style since it was my first time inking hair ^-^ her artwork is really beautiful. I can see why you were reminded of her style ^-^
