My trees aren't growing :\

I'm trying to grow a bunch of cedars in town and I have quite a few but now no more will grow. I had to dig up three today because they died!

No they were out in the open. I wish I hadn't dug them up so I could post a picture. Is it possible to have too many trees? I also have one of the stinky flowers... Isabelle said I don't have enough greenery :\

EDIT: cedar trees cannot grow anywhere besides the north! This could be your problem.

Hey, dunno if you know this, but when Isabelle says you don't have enough greenery you can plant flowers instead of trees! In Wild World I know trees and flowers were separate, but I got my perfect town rating by using mostly flowers.

You can only have 14 trees per acre. 1 acre is 25?25
