In Mycovia, due to the intense fey influence upon the island, some villagers are categorized as Afflicted, being affected by the forces at work upon the island. These afflictions manifest in various ways, and as such these villagers are usually positioned closer to the northwest sector, where fey influence is highest. None are harmful or aggressive, thankfully, and said villagers are free to interact across the island.

The Afflicted:

Name: Clay
Birthday: October 19th
Affliction: Possible enthrallment to unidentified insects that seem to have infested his home
Hobby: Just vibing.
History: Found on a deserted bamboo island, Clay was a relatively early addition to Mycovia. Its unsure if his enthrallment was before or after entering Mycovia, and whether its fairies or some other entity that influences him. Doesn't seem to have many friend groups as of yet, but enjoys standing or sitting by bodies of water and staring into them. Enjoys fishing and the rain, and can often be found in the corners of the island.

Name: Coco
Birthday: March 1st
Affliction: Seems to be made of some stone or hard fungus substance. Occasionally releases a cloud of some kind of smoke- Possibly spores? Affliction was present before moving, so possibly an unrelated anomaly.
Hobby: Coco takes a keen interest in examining plants and objects around her home with a magnifying glass
History: Adopted from a sister island, Coco's gregarious and sweet nature earned her many friends in Mycovia and there are few who would object to her presence. She seems to have difficulty with facial expressions, seeing as her face is very rigid and not much variation can be made but she maintains a very friendly rapport enough to make up for that fact. There is some concern about her possible sporulating, as mushrooms have grown around her house in forms of furniture. Face masks are advised should she be actively emitting a cloud, though she doesn't seem to notice it.

current plans(town development):

• Establish fey district, along with the Afflicted (upper right side of island? i thought i was done terraforming but with the grand ideas i got and downright story-esque stuff i was Inspired for, i may need to do even further cliff moving. kill me.)
• Create another player character

• make more turnip money to fund any terraforming i have to do irt goddamn bridges

• villager bio list along with my fancy in character story stuff with them (coco's a fungus now, ive decided. no one can stop me.)

• i need more. graphics. i am an ARTIST i should MAKE THOSE

depression really got me winded but now i have an Idea for how to make this thread/my town theme neat so im forced to proceed.
