That says a lot about drawing duplicates.
I have to say that I considered buying somewhere between 6 and 8 packages to cut down on duplicates. But, I wanted a lot of villagers. And now I want a lot special characters. So, I have bought, so far, 16 packages. And apparently I have 66 overall characters between those 96 individual Amiibo Cards.
The ones I'm really wanting, from both Series #01 and #02, are to have the Amiibo Cards of all villagers I have in my first town Applewin. There are a combined six of those villagers featured in Series #01 and #02. I have half of them: Julian, Phoebe, and Tia (Series #02). But I do not have any of Jambette (Series #01) and Kidd and Scoot (Series #02).
I'm guessing, and this is crazy, one may have to buy about 35 Amiibo Cards packages in order to likely meet getting all 100 cards from a given Series. That's 35 Amiibo Cards packages for each Series. In U.S. dollars, with six in each package, that totals $210 (estimate). It may be more like 40 Amiibo Cards packages (estimate of spending $240) which likely gets one to reach getting all 100 individual villagers/special characters from a Series. And it is no wonder people go ahead and get involved in trading. (I am considering it…but would have to get organized first.)
