I need some advice or some help. I have the Happy Home Paradise expansion and finished the game. I was so excited to be able to finally customize my villigers houses on my island. I noticed that after Christmas when I went to give my villigers normal wreaths for their houses again, the 3 villigers I customized their houses didn't change their wreaths on their doors. I have tried 3 or 4 times by giving them new wreaths and they never put them on the door. Is this because I customized their houses? I also noticed that anything you give them doesn't show up in their homes. Do I need to pay 9,000 bells per villiger every time I want them to put something out? I'm so conufsed and I can't find any answers.

Yes, I believe they no longer change their homes after you customize them. I'm working through my Smile Isle achievement and have done errands where they get furniture, critters, clothing, etc and none have changed anything in their house so far. You'll have to fork over 9000 each time to get them to change.
