Need transfer help, please.

The instructions on transferring information to the new game is just not registering in my brain. So far, I have received my memorial tree gift and put on my favourite outfit. I deleted friends who have not been on for a very long time and picked up some new ones. I am also trying to spend leaf tickets, which I had unfortunately saved up 4500 for a shopping spree next year of all things pink and purple. Now I am buying whatever. Ugh. But what I really have not grasped is what else I am supposed to do to transfer to the new game. Also my device is full in terms of storage. Will we be able to delete the old game to make room or do we have to transfer first (in which case, I had better figure out what else to delete). I am growing more concerned as each day passes, any clear input would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hello.

So long as you've linked your MyNintendo account in-game, you're ready to transfer, once ACPCC launches. Here are links to do so if you have not, already. [iOS] [Android]

Since saves are on the server, yours will be sent to your device once you log in on ACPCC with your MyNintendo account linked with ACPC; additional transfer instructions will be revealed at launch.

The apps are separate, so you are welcome to delete ACPC once services end.

Here is a list of items/data not compatible with ACPCC so you may take further measures to finalise your ACPC sessiones.
