The new August fish are:
Moray Eel
Jellyfish

New bugs:
Mantis
Orchid Mantis
Giant Petaltail

This is all according to my prima guide

If you know of any I missed, please post.

PS- When is a ray in season?

I've heard that ray are in season all year, only October, August-December, August-September, January-October, and February-September. The Prima Guide doesn't say when they're in season, so please help.

i dont really think many people care for what the new bugs/fish are...
I do. I think some people wants to complete their fish and bug list to get golden rod/net
without cheating. And this guide is wrong. I've catched a orchid mantis on june. And you can catch ray on august.

pizzaslyze is right. i dont cheat at all on any games.

@pizzaslyze- i didn't know orchid mantises were out in june. thanks! i kinda thought rays were in august, but they are from august to when?

anyone know how big or rare a ray is? i think its about the size of a sea bass/moray eel, but im not sure. ive heard they are really hard to find, but ive also heard they're pretty common.

A ray is going to be a huge shadow, not large like the sea bass. It's a tad bigger. :) They're in season August through November.

Edit: How rare they are I'm not sure, but they seem to become common once caught.

They're taller than a sea bass, and they're not so rare.

ive been searching for a couple days, and i thought i found one, but i got bit by a stupid mosquito while attempting to catch it

that happened to me once while attempting to catch a shark

Too lazy to read the other replies.

Ray is in season. I'm not sure when it stops appearing, but it does start to appear at 8am.

Best of luck and all the rest!

how rare are orchid mantises? cuz i've caught like 5 mantises or something and i havent even seen and orchid mantis yet
(i know they are only on white flowers, and i have a lot of white flowers in my town

White flowers? Oh god, that'd about all I don't have. -_-

As far as I know they're pretty rare. I'll likely never find one.

yeah! i caught a ray a couple of hours ago. now i just need to wait for jellyfish in second half of august, and then salmon and king salmon in the second have of september. then i'll have caught all the fish!

when you catch a ray its kinda of like catching a celocanth without rain or snow that how big the shadow is i found one in july

hey guys does anyone know how big jellyfish, king salmon, or salmon are? i think jellys are horse mackerel size, but i have no clue how big salmon or king salmon are.

yes, i know they aren't in season yet, but i was just curious

Jellyfish are horse mackerel sized. :) They can be caught in the second half of August.

Salmon shadows are large, and a bit bigger than the black bass shadow. King salmon have huge shadows, it looks like the arapaima's.
