New Leaf or New Horizons Art Style?

New Leaf is much more earthy and natural feeling, while New Horizons is much lighter and sharper/cleaner
Both were/are very much in line with "their time in the world" but which do you prefer? you can respond using your general preference or as it pertains to the two games

I personally feel in love with New Horizons when I got used to it. The first couple second of it's reveal trailer had me confused but then I was ecstatic because it just looks so beautiful and perfect for a relaxing deserted island feel.

Both are sooo beautiful in their own ways, but I have a feeling im going to prefer the New Horizons art style :') A little change can be really refreshing sometimes. Something about how soft it is really speaks to me ^-^

Completely agree with this! I think the New Horizons art style is beautiful and loved it as soon as I saw it

seriously :'( I think it'll go by quicker once Christmas is over though, because im more than sure we'll start getting more leaks and news about the game to buy us some time ^-^

New Horizons looks great, a little rounded on the natural paths though.

I liked New Leaf's more worn in look as far as paths go.

Everything looks a little shiny or like plastic in New Horizons, but it's like anything new, it takes time for it to grow on you.

It is certainly different, but I am welcome to it. I really look forward to new styles in the games because I usually play them for so long! I am ready for something new.

As for how I feel about the style specifically, I generally am all for it.
The game is quite bright, but I hope the different weather will balance it out.
Also, I think the hair looks a bit too shiny at times? A strange thought maybe.
My only other thought was the grass and they have already fixed it.

I already prefer the New Horizons art style here. It's smoother, cleaner and in general it just looks better. That doesn't mean that New Leaf is automatically trash, it has also a nice style and still looks pretty in my opinion even if it's over 5 years old. But the new title is just... fresh you know.

I think at first I?m going to have to get used to the new horizons style, but I?m going to end up loving it. I?m super excited to see what it?s going to look like on my tv.

New Horizons looks better by far compared to New Leaf. Everything looks so neat, clean, bright and colorful and dirt paths seem easier to make this time. I don't think I'll want to go back to the old style once I experience Animal Crossing Horizons, unless for nostalgic reasons.

i feel like i like both styles equally at the moment. I am worried though that i wont like new leafs style after playing new horizons regularly, as new leaf will seme older and more dull. however, there is hope because i still love city folks styles even though that is older compared to new leaf.

I prefer New Leaf's art style in pretty much every way. New Horizons feels more generic looking to me. You can still tell it's Animal Crossing of course, but it's not as stylized as before.
