Hi there! I'm rustfour, relatively new to ACNL (a latecomer) but the family plays it avidly and has for years. I'm not new to games, starting wayyyy back with a device many of you probably haven't seen before - a black-and-white TV with integrated pong games. 
It's still in the basement on a shelf but probably belong in a museum. It was my grandparents - I'm old but not that old. :>
I found the forums via a quick Google search - this is the first of the forums that came up. As it looks to be active, I figured it was my best bet to reach out to people for town visits, trades, etc. Blame Katie.
I don't have any specific goals for ACNL, just enjoying the experience. While I intended on making a dirty, ill-kept town (hence the name Junkton), I quickly found myself enjoying the game too much to do that to my town or its denizens. The boot is still the symbol of the town, however, even though it's really not junky at all.
I've been breeding for hybrids (have a genetics background so finding that interesting) and gathering all the fruits available. Once my persimmon tree fruits, I'm set on that score.
I keep pretty broad hours, usually have things up by around 7am and might be on as late as 1am, depending on the day.
