New to The Bell Tree.. Please Help..

So I saw my friend using the bell tree to get some really cool items on animal crossing city folk/let's go to the city and so I made an account on it so I could get some too. I'm not sure how to use the bell tree so could somebody please walk me through the basics? Thanks.
