Hey everyone! My name is Gavin and I have a relatively small amount of experience with the Animal Crossing series to be honest. Animal Crossing was one of those games I always knew about but had never played as none of my friends had it and I never received it as a present as a kid. Last year I got sick for a short period of time (nothing serious) and decided to pick up wild world to pass the time. I really really enjoyed the game, it was so atmospheric, with fantastic music, and interesting villagers to befriend, it was the perfect escape I needed at the time.
After about only a month of playing world on my DS I decided to pick up new leaf for my 3DS. I absolutely loved this title as well and found my 3 favourite villagers in this game, them being Roscoe, Static and Vesta. I honestly loved how relaxing this game was and again, it was a great escape from everyday life. I played this game as much as I could and it kept me company on the train on the way to work, between breaks at work and helped me get tired before I would go to sleep at night. After the experiences I had with New Leaf it was fair to say I was a fan of the series and was looking forward to New Horizons.
After much waiting (not as much waiting as some of the long time fans) I finally picked up New Horizons on launch day and I couldn't have been more excited. I'm loving the game so far and am really enjoying the amount of creativity the game allows you in regards to your island and the interior of your home. All the villagers I have are great and I'm also really enjoying the DIY aspect of the game.
I guess in summary I've created an account here to try get involved with the Animal Crossing community. I've heard great things about the community around this game and I'm really looking forward to meeting you all and hopefully learning a thing or two about my new favourite game. I guess this was a long-winded post but I really love this game and am excited to be apart of the discussions around this game.
