Hi, I joined a few days back after lurking for a while. Always good to check out the local culture first -which looks really nice and friendly.
I'm from Ireland and I studied languages. I was learning Japanese in uni when NL released so I got it in Japanese (it was more convenient for various reasons) and so much regret. It was great for practicing reading speed, really learning my basic kana (I never really learnt Katakana I just learnt my name, "Dublin" and "game" and gradually put the rest together over time). Which worked out... okay....?
I don't know if you're still supposed to sound utterly stupid reading a katakana word after 6 damn years though...
Haaa.. mmmuu.. hammuuba... hamubargaaa-... Oh. Hamburger. One of those please.
Anywho, my first game was Wild World.
I kinda remember... finding it tough. I didn't understand that I should take my time, I felt bullied by the villagers and I was so, so sad when villagers left. So I distanced myself from them and got all tsundare..?
"Oh, hi Whitney. Yeah, I guess I can get that item for you and bring it to your house. I suppose. That's if you're not leaving first -you know like some people." *Side eyes the Pecan's empty plot*
I'm still really hurt every time the NH villagers say things like "oh looks like we keep bumping into each other huh" come on Rudy are you really doing anything else so much more exciting??
Other than that, Love Live! is my passion and like a lot of people I'm getting into knitting this year. Gotta run a little spider is encroaching on my table space >:T
