Nintendo Art Appreciation Thread

Some days I just look at the art work for Nintendo games and feel better about everything in this life. I'll start with Metroid Dread. To me, the art and environments are so good that even if it wasn't a blast to play, which it is, I'd play it over again just to really look at everything on planet ZDR.

Post some art you really love from a Nintendo game. Unless you're too scared.

Fantasy life has some of my favorite art probably ever. The colors are so vibrant and beautiful and I really love the npc and creature design too. These are only official illustrations but the game itself is of course also beautiful ^_^

!!! this thread finally gives me the excuse to go off about the splatoon artwork across all 3 games the team has no right to put so much energy into these designs to promote events/ updates/ whatever but I've always appreciated it - down to the colours and poses IT'S AMAZING... the first game is my fave for designs, they're way more textured and detailed - in 2 & 3 they kinda get smoothed out (u can see below but both are still great!!)

okay so i think this thread is more for screenshots from games rather than official artwork oopsies ! but in the story mode u can unlock sunken scrolls/ pages/ stickers which are just as detailed and cooool

Splatoon has been SUCH a gift. They go crazy on the art, I always loved even the basic color schemes for the matches. A feast for the eyeballs. <3

Splatoon art is extremely based and I really love the art for the game. Also, DKC early 3D renders are actually a treat to see (pics are from MarioWiki).

Rare was absolutely ahead of their time during the snes era. They made such detailed graphics and amazing 3D-like animation for such a dated system.
