There are currently 5 DLC items available outside Japan:

Red pikmin
Shamrock hat
DSI white
DSI black
Flamenco Hat

What is everyone complaining about, we have about the same amount of DLC as Japan at the moment, and they're all great items.
(I'm not including the dress since it's a pattern that takes up no real DLC slots)

The quality of the DLC is great, but I wish there was more quanity.

Just got to be patient, you wouldn't all of the DLC Nintendo's planning to be given out straight away now would you?

Exactly... it's the fact that they are releasing it a little at a time that keeps this game fresh and interesting. I mean, I get addicted to other games all the time, but I always come back to this one (well, this one and Mario Kart Wii).

There has been the Pikmin hat, Shamrock hat, DSi Seat B, and 1,000 bells released in America so far. There is a scheduled release date for the Bus model and another DLC release is on June 14 (Flag Day). We know by June 14 someone is going to have all six DLC, I've gotten all of them released in America so far, I also have some from Korea, Japan, and Europe.

I don't think anyone bought the game just for DLC so it isn't a main component.
Be happy that Nintendo are even giving you anything.
