No in person friends

What i find that sucks is my cousin plays this game, but personally i play more and am invested more. I find it hard to find friends who are interested in this game. I also keep it a secret from people if i know they dont like video games. Sometimes i wish i had more friends, i know it sounds stupid but even guys that play it. I hate hiding that i play this game, i only have internet friends but its only for trading no one actually plays with me or talks about it with me.

Does anyone else have this problem too?

Honestly no one ik irl plays ac (I'm getting my bff to get it but shes not super into it) but unlike new leaf now I have a bunch of online buddies to enjoy it with. I recommend joining some discords or the like if that doesn't make you uncomfortable. There are lots of us out here with no irls so we make communities for it.

Yes. I have no RL friends that play video games and no one in my family plays either. At least I have my online friends to share my excitement about ACNH with.

I know how you feel! I have a few friends IRL that like the game, but I'm sure most of them won't be playing as often after a few months. I usually get REALLY into things and for very long periods of time and end up playing by myself a lot. I try playing with people online for a while but it's not the same (at least for me, because I have a hard time keeping in touch with people)...so my problem isn't really making friends, is keeping them. I'm thinking of giving the game as a birthday gift to a close friend in hopes she will enjoy it for a while and maybe for longer if I keep playing with her! And posting here and in other forums or discord helps me when I feel like talking about it.

I have 2 that play, but not as religiously as me. Honestly I am very open about my likes. It doesn't matter. I meet so many people that way. I won't hide the fact that I'm an avid player of AC in person. Hopefully I'll get to meet more peeps who feel more intimidated by announcing it.
I am always up for new AC friends or just friends overall.

I don't really have any irl friends that are into it like I am either, but I have some really great online friends, so I don't feel a need to have someone physically next to me to get the most out of the game.

I'm also pretty used to playing the game solo, I haven't spent much time playing around with friends actually.

As someone in their 40s most people I know don't even enjoy video games let alone AC. I got my hubby interested in NL and he's interested in NH but other than him I don't know anyone else in rl who plays. Even though I'm friendly with people on here I haven't really had too many online friends to play NL with either. I'm hoping with NH that I can interact with people more. Although I can't really do voice chat as I only have one working vocal chord. I hope we both find more people to enjoy NH with.

I only know a couple of people who play it but honestly I don’t mind that much. The forums and other socials are usually fruitful enough and I’m able to make friends that way, it doesn’t matter to me if they’re close or not, although it would be nice to have someone to talk to about it in real life too!

Once the game released I’m sure the forums will be busy but until then have you thought about joining Discord or Twitter? The communities are bustling and there’s always someone available to talk to. I’ve found a couple of people near me from Twitter!

This sort of personal dilemma is actually why I really like the online aspect this series has pushed. This is the perfect introvert game. When you meet other people playing AC they're also likely introverts that mean absolutely no harm most of the time. And I'm sure this forum will be a new surge of get-together for NH players.

None of my friends seem to be interested in the game (they are happy enough to listen to my hype prime example being me getting excited about jumping). It's why I'm happy enough to have switch online and is the main reason I found this forum. Yeah I'd love to be able to sit together with my friends after a stressful uni day and go around our towns and celebrate things like firework festivals... but I find the idea of finding new friends on this forum something quite special too!

I've only one IRL friend, and he's not into Animal Crossing which is OK. Family could care less about video games as well. So online forums like this are really the only thing I got.

Ah the only person that I know irl that plays ac is my cousin as shes the one that introduced me into ac. Thou I won't be able to play with her as she doesn't own a Switch. I tried to get my brothers to be interested in ac but they aren't bothered.
However, I'm sure you will be able to finds friends on here that will play with you, I know I've made pals on here that I still talk too/play acnl.

As an adult, yes. I don't have IRL friends that play AC or Nintendo Switch, and no one other than my siblings know I play, and most of them don't even own a Switch.

I only know one other person IRL and my sister that share the same hype as I do for New Horizons. I hope through this forum and other sites like discord or twitter that I'll find some online friends to play and trade with as well.

My 6 year old daughter and 8 year old son are in full hype mode with me. They've even got me considering buying a second copy of the game so we can visit each others islands (I've got the AC:NH Switch coming for myself). Otherwise, yeah, I'm with you. I'm trying to convince my best friend to buy it, as he too has small children, but he's just not that into it.

I?ve made some good friends on this game alone. It would start with a trade. Then we would talk and soon enough we are hitting each other in the head with nets while I?m ugly laughing.
