Hi everyone, I'm a player of animal crossing however, I don't have Nintendo switch online subscription.. are people who have Nintendo switch online subscription allowed to come to visit my island if I open it?

If they are allowed to, would anyone like to come exchange / donate me some fruits? Have been island hopping to look for new fruits but to no avail... I have cherries and oranges on my island! Let me know if you would like to come to my island, would totally trade anything else outside of fruits if both parties are ok with it!

As xara said, without the online subscription all online services are unavailable to you. This includes visiting other players or having them over to your island, accessing the design portal and dream suite or receiving limited items from Nintendo Online.

hi there! i’m afraid that without a nintendo switch online membership, you can’t visit anyone else’s island, nor can anyone visit yours. :(
Thanks for clarifying! maybe i shall get the nintendo switch online membership someday!

If you haven't used it already, Nintendo offers free 1 week long Nintendo Online subscriptions. You could try looking into that. Then you could get some of the fruits and other items you'd like to trade for.

also, there are group plans that don't need to be limited to people you have at home, I'm on a friend's group plan and he's several hundred miles away but saves us both a ton of money.

In addition to the free week that everyone can get, there are also sometimes free weeks of NSO on My Nintendo. And I recall recieving a free week when I first bought New Horizons, but that may have only been when it first came out. But you might check and see if you got an email or something with a code for a free week. I never paid for NSO, but using those free weeks here and there, I was able to trade for lots of things I couldn't have gotten on my own.
