Looking through some tutorials, I noticed I don't yet have Timmy and Tommys store. I'm playing with my kids in coop so they may have gotten the offer to gather materials and rejected him.

Is there a way to get Timmy's offer to come across again?

Hey,
I'm pretty sure you could just talk to Timmy again? If that doesn't work, maybe try waiting a day if you're agaisnt time travelling and try again. I don't think there's any way you just can't have the offer again unless it's a glitch?

Only the first player can advance the story. Whoever named the island has to go talk to the coons again

Sounds like one of your kids are the Island Resident, and only they can make the choice for the store to be built.
