I know Nook Miles+ is already a pretty easy/fast way of getting miles, but I feel sometimes it gives me tasks that are either undesirable (cutting down trees, doing things that cost miles/bells, or catching difficult fish). Apologies if this is a dumb question, I just wanna build them up quicker since I've been spending them all on islands to get sturgeons and tarantulas.

For the cutting trees one, I usually try to clear other initiatives until I get some combination of the following:
- catch five fish
- catch five bugs
- cut down a tree
- plant a fruit tree/tree
- spend 500 miles
- sell 5 fruit
- sell 20 weeds
- sell 10 shells
and then I head to an island where i'm able to complete almost all of these.
for the shopping one, if bells are not an issue, I usually clear out the store or buy wallpapers or something and then sell them and any fish i caught to recover the loss.
