Thanks Rosch! I totally forgot to check for this. Now to decide whether I should buy ten of these in the event I need more whenever I decorate or just two. 🤔

Thanks for this! Despite being reminded this morning, I completely forgot about ordering a few haha. It's always nice having more plant items (and spooky ones at that).
Also reminds me I need to print out a photo of my late dog to put on the ofrenda. I need to start writing down reminders. 😅

Thank you for this!! I just saw it while visiting a dream address and I was like omg I want that. Had no idea I could order it right now!

Day of the dead is two days.
Day one is for dead adults and day two is for dead kids, right? Or did I mix it up.

I really love this item. Living in Arizona, I see a lot of Mexican culture everywhere and people celebrating Dia de los Muertos is one of them. Even though I'm not Mexican/Hispanic, I really like the concept of the holiday.

As silly as it is I'm actually so happy about the lanterns. They're from my favorite holiday in my country, St. Martin's Day ("Lantern Festival"? 🤔) and I still have visceral memories of making them in 1st and 2nd grade as well as going around town with them in pouring rain while singing. That 1st bottom row lantern is exactly the one my class made for our 2nd St. Martin's walk. Making every regional item available worldwide and including so many cultures is the best thing they've done tbh.

Oh my, I didn't know this and it's perfect! I plan to do a Lantern Festival on my new Asian-themed island so having handheld lanterns will be perfect <33

A little history on the marigolds decoration.
That decoration represent part of an altar from the day of the dead decoration, each year people built altars with photos and things that person is for loved, like food, drinks, music, toys, etc. and candles and flowers are added to give them to they altar so they visit you.

The marigold, also called cempasúchil translates to flower of 20 and represent the sun and light to help the dead get to you, also the aroma mixes with the food to attract them.

It might sound scary and not all cultures see death this way, but if you place this, know that you will be visited by your loved ones.

Oct 27 all your pets visit you
Nov 1 kids visit
Nov 2 all the adults visit

Here is a picture of a full altar

I'm really happy they added this decoration to the game.

I’m so glad the handheld lantern is customizable! I didn’t think it would be. And thanks to everyone in this thread who explained the significance of the marigold decoration 😊
