NookLink issues

I started to play Animal Crossing: New Horizons all over again, and everything is going smoothly but it seems that my NookLink is still stuck with my old save data that I’ve deleted. I can’t use the features anymore, can anybody help?

Have you tried reconnecting via the Animal Crossing home screen settings? You should be able to connect to NookLink there which might reset it.
