I like that you can use it to text ingame. It's also nice to see more games having a special app on your phone. Shame there's only three so far.

I'm glad it is an option, I just hope there is an in-game method of chatting as my current phone can't really handle apps very well, if at all and I don't feel like purchasing a new phone/plan.

Being one of those people who hates typing on consoles, knowing this feature is available is perfect for me! I can type so quickly on my phone that responding to messages will be a breeze!

The QR code feature is going to be really handy. I love that they are letting us use codes that we made in New Leaf. They didn't have to let us do that.

The postcard feature made use of an onscreen keyboard, so I imagine there will be one for online chatting.

I think there will be. There is an app on the nook phone that looks like a messaging app. It looks like the same icon used on our real phones.

I won't ever use my phone for NH. If it's essential for trading, I can't play it.

No I am saying an app on your in game phone. That matches the one on your phone in real life. Therefore leads me to believe there is an in game one as well. Would make no sense if there isn't. I really hope so because for quick trades kinda annoying to use another device for a few words.

I think the communication on the phone is supposed to be more for when you're playing with friends over a longer period of time not doing a quick 1min trade. The keyboard function is still in the game, the irl phone app is just to make it easier since typing out longer messages takes a long time on consoles compared to phones.

That's my worry.
I don't like forced internet or forced SM.

I like to trade quickly, and type the bare minimum.
