I might because I don’t think I finished it last year, and I don’t think I experienced it in it’s entirety. I’ll be able too o get some of the things I’m missing.
I won't be partaking in it this year. I got the old DIYs last year and the actual holiday in-game was kind of fast, easy, and bland since you got most of the stuff throughout the month of October and there was barely anything to earn on Haloween itself. My game isn't even in October currently since I've been taking a break from the game for a while in favor of other interests, especially this month in particular since I'm enjoying actual October and actual Halloween as they're my favorite month and day of the year. I'll get the new DIYs eventually as I claw my way forward back to current day, but I'm not in a rush. Honestly, if I wanted Halloween in Animal Crossing, I'd load up New Leaf since it's more involved and you can earn more stuff. But no, I'm not doing anything Animal Crossing related for Halloween, as I'll be participating in Halloween forum events here, carving some pumpkins, and enjoying horror movies.
I will probably do it this year even though I have everything from last year, or at least I believe I do. I'm taking my niece trick or treating that evening, so I might time travel to later in the day that morning to have time to do the event.
Honestly, I have no reason to participate in any event again, maybe with the exception of the wedding (as I don't have all the items/recipes yet) and the event with Rover, to get a second briefcase just because it looks cool.
i don't plan to since i participated last year and it doesn't have the replayability that NL had. i do have some new villagers, but... they all do the same thing anyway as far as i remember? so that's not really an incentive. at least in NL, new villagers would mean you would have to find out their fear (if you weren't using a guide), but NH doesn't have that aspect in the event. i also have all the DIYs and have crafted every color of each furniture piece for the catalogue, so i really don't have to play. not that i bought any candy this month anyway ahdjckglv
I'm doing photo shoots during the day and will be interacting with the villagers at night. Yes, I don't "need" anything, but it's cute and fun. I know the update is near, but I'm shocked that so many people see no point in it since it's not new enough for them when the game is more about making yourself busy with self projects than never ending new content.
I mean, there's always a reason to replay events again even if you have all the items.
For me, I like taking screenshots with friends, however I don't know if I'll have time (especially with this ongoing site event). Maybe Halloween has to come earlier. We shall see.
I did complete the event last year. But that was on my old island. My new island hasn't experienced Halloween yet so I probably will at least log in to see my villagers in their cute costumes
I don't really need a lot of the DIY's because I got them through trading. But its still a cute event to participate in.
