Not Getting Any Notifications?

I'm not sure if it has to do with how I set my security settings, but whenever I'm quoted or a thread I'm subscribed to has a new response, I never get a notification about it. (IDK if this forum has it set up for the latter to not give you notifications about that, another forum I frequent changed theirs so that it did).

Am I supposed to only get notifications through email? (which I didn't want), with VM's/PM's being the only thing your Notifications drop down menu at the top of the page is supposed to alert you to? I'm trying to figure out how to best keep myself informed, but it's hard when I never know when I'm being spoken to unless I'm stalking the thread

Help?

We do not have notifications for subscriptions. Subscriptions are more of a "make your own board" feature. When you subscribe to a thread it will add it to your UserCP Front Page which you can access by clicking "Settings" at the top of the forum.

I figured that part as much, thanks for reconfirming my hunch. And what about the rest of what I'd asked? About not getting notified about being quoted and such? Are those supposed to send me notifications, or only through my email?

No, you only get notified when you get PM's and VM's. No notifications for people who quote reply you - not even through email.

Notifications on quotes is something we'd like to implement but it's more complicated than just "doing it".
