I am playing ACNL. I enjoy it a lot, but Happy Home Designer came out few weeks ago. I am thinking if I should try to play this. Any suggestion? I like to play slow pace game, but at the same time, I can do many things. Any suggestion?
If you are really big on designing homes, I would get the game. There are so new furniture items, as well as buildings that you can decorate. If you prefer to interact with the villagers and catch bugs and fish, don't get this game. You can't really interact with the villagers like you can in the other games, and you can't fish or catch bugs. You literally just design homes. There is also no town to decorate, so you can't wander around a town like in a normal Animal Crossing game.
It's initial play is somewhat linear, and you really must enjoy the decorative aspect because there isn't much beyond that. When I first acquired the game, I found myself quickly frustrated because I didn't have enough furniture unlocked to fulfill the requests in such a way as I found satisfying. Desperate to unlock things, I finally began to simply open the villagers' boxes and then save. Perhaps some would construe this as cheating, but I have begun to enjoy the game in earnest, now that I have a variety of decorative objects to choose.
