Notifications help?

I'm new to this site and I created several new topics I didn't see no notifications pop up or receive any emails, is there a way in the settings where I can get a email every time I receive a PM or someone answer a thread of mines?

There's a function in your settings that should say "Email Notification of New Private Messages" (Settings >> General Settings) turning it on will (obviously) send a message to your E-mail account whenever you receive a PM.

Also located in your General Settings is an option that let's you automatically subscribe to any threads you make or post in (found under "Default Thread Subscription Mode"), you can set it to where you'll receive an E-mail whenever there's a new post, or go without an E-mail so it only appears in your control panel.

Or if you don't plan on posting in a thread immediately or would rather turn off the auto-subscribe, you can click the "Subscribe to this Thread" button under "Thread Tools" above the OP.

What I do is go to top of the page and click 'My profile' next to Notifications, then click my activity, then it shows where you posted, who you vm'ed end etc. If you have friends on this site then their activity will show up too so instead of going through their spam activity then click your username which will only show your activity, Then click see more which will bring you to the thread and whatnot:3
