Now that I'm not focusing on decorating my island, I'm getting a lot of stuff done

As the title says, normally I would put all my focus into terraforming, nothing else would get done. Well now that I decided to put decorating on hold until spring, and focus on other things, a lot of progress is getting done on Orca Bay, way more than before.

So far, I have unlocked almost all the hair styles, Unlocked Reese and Cyrus, Leif, Redd and Katrina on Harv's Island, almost completed HHP, about 70k bells left on my third home loan for expanding, collected a lot of material. Got almost all of the fences and almost all of the DIY's in the Nook Shop, my relationships with my islanders are very high but not high enough yet to get their photos.

If I had been been focusing on decorating, most of this stuff, especially Harv's Island, would have never gotten done. My island is a hot mess because I stopped decorating in the middle of fall now it's annoying to navigate my island but I'm happy that I able to get a lot of stuff done that doesn't involve decorating.

I'm actually surprised how quickly I'm unlocking and paying stuff off when I'm not using that money to move buildings around.

Anyone else putting terraforming and decorating on hold until spring to focus on other things, and if so, how much have you accomplished?

For me I am just focused on trying to get the new DIYS and items, but been having trouble getting them because the bad RNG luck I have is really getting to me. I am also trying to get the new villager's photos and so far I've gotten Marlo, Quinn, Ione, and Zoe's photos, so it still taking me time to get them.

I am still playing some of the DLC but not as much considering that I made over 120 homes and its starting to get stale, but the only time I go to the Resort is just to get new DIY, Recipe, and items from Lottie's office. Since I unlocked the feature to customize villager homes on my island I am taking my sweet time with that so that way whenever I get a villager that has a bad interior I do my best to improve it.

I do go to Harvs island to usually talk with Katrina to get the Fortune of "Belongings will improve" so I can go to Kapp'n Tours to get materials without having my tools break. Its a nice feeling no longer having to worry about tools breaking thanks to Katrina's fortune of improving my items.

I am pretty much done with designing and terraforming because it just starts getting boring after you done it for so long. I've restarted so much and design so much that I don't feel the need to do it anymore. I just want to enjoy my islands for what they are and just accept it so I don't have to over stress myself on making the island too cluttered. Thats pretty much what I've been doing.

I’m the opposite right now. I made sure to unlock all of Harv’s island before I went into a huge terraforming project. I have for the most part completed HHP to the point I have over 30 homes decorated. I will go back to HHP once I’m finished fixing my main island. I’m terraforming on my main island and everything is on hold even things on my second island. I don’t play my second island very much right now. I go on it to give gifts to villagers check shops and look for new DIYS and that’s about it. On my main island I put off terraforming for so long I almost didn’t bother with it. I finally found the inspiration I needed to try and fix my main island and will go back to other things once I’m done. I still need to place flowers , bushes and decorations around villagers houses. Now that I have placed my villagers house my new project is figuring out what to do with my house and museum.
