As much as I like Saharah, Leif, and Kicks, I really did not need seeing them every single week lol. Now I am feeling more excited to see who visits me

This was a great change, I’m pretty sure everyone was getting tired of Leif, Saharah, and Leif at this point.

Still would like Redd to be a weekly visitor, but I guess I’ll settle for him showing up every two weeks at least now haha.

The only guaranteed visitors are KK and Daisy Mae, which increases the likelihood of Redd showing up...that's a win.

I'm not sure you understand correctly. Pre v1.3, Sahara, Kicks, and Leif were guaranteed to be in your town every week. There are only 5 days which you can get visits, 3 of which were hogged by these 3 NPCs. 5-3=2. That means there was only 2 days per week in which you could get another NPC, and these are: Flick, CJ, Label, Gulliver, and Redd. Post 1.3, you will now see every NPC at least once every 2 weeks. There is no more RNG god determining whether or not you will ever seen an NPC in 2 weeks, or even 2 months.


Redd is now guaranteed a minimum of once biweekly with a chance to show up twice in 2 weeks. Before the change, there were only 2 days which you could possibly get Redd among all other NPCs, making it possible to never see Redd for months.

Maybe this is the reason why a lot of people are getting pirate set easily. They just have to set the time travel date every two weeks.
