Number limit to Jacob Ladders on island?

Is there a limit to how many Jacob Ladders there can be on the island in order for them to spawn? My mom hasn’t seen any new ones spawning in weeks and she has quite a few on her island at the moment.

Could it be that she has too many flowers on the island or something?
As far as I know, the flowers always have a chance of appearing when the island has a 5 Star Rating.
I don't know the particulars of the rating system, but perhaps see what Isabelle says?

She still has a five star island, so they should still be appearing. I guess she does have too many other flowers? Does that effect them?

I think I’ve seen people before have problems with them spawning if they have too many other flowers but I’m not 100% sure if it does affect it.

Another thing to check is whether she has any room left along her cliff edges as I think this is where Jacob Ladders mainly spawn.

Ahh, okay. She does have quite a few other hybrids on her island, so she may have hit a limit. As far as she has told me, she still has room along the edges of her cliffs too.

It does seem like maybe she’s at her limit with it been so long since one has spawned, especially with a 5 star island and room on her cliffs.

I have had a five star island for over a year now and after a while new jacob ladders stopped spawning. Right now I have a bunch of flowers in my island so I assume there is some sort of limit.

I’ve had long jacob ladder droughts and then all of a sudden they start popping up again. I’d like to think my island has a ton of flowers, so I don’t think there’s some sort of limit.

Unless my island doesn’t gave as many flowers as I think it does.
