Delays are better; days off from snow add to the end of the school year >.<

No, I disagree. Delays are worse. My school only has 2 hour delays, so we go in at 10 or 11 and leave at 2. -.-
Days off are better when your school district offers more days. The year Hurricane Sandy happened, my old school only offered 2 snow days because we didn't use up 1 or 2 the previous year. How annoying was that? We lost mid-winter break and we lost a day in Spring Break to make up the lost snow days. I stuck my middle finger up to the school board once because why make such a stupid assumption?

My delays start at 10AM and end at 3PM. For Hurricane Sandy, we had one week off, but it took up all 5 snow days. Some breaks were cut and the school year was a week longer, and my school has no AC and gets very hot in June. Someone even passed out, but we just have to deal with it.

Wow. That sounds really bad.
My school was worse when it came to AC and heat. We had heat on all winter, even when it was hot. With the AC, they turned it on after a heat wave. So Day 1, it's 89 degrees F, Day 2, it's 94 degrees F, on Day 3 it's 85, and Day 4 it's back to 70 degrees F. They'd turn on the AC on Day 4 and if someone's classroom windows were open, they'd shut it off.

We don't even have heat, we just freeze in the winter and melt in the summer. Almost every single classroom has its windows open when its warm. And people don't really care about the school as a whole. So, just 3 more years and I'm outta there.

Ugh. I know how that feels. My new school has the money. Is yours poor or does no one care? My old school district is.. $20+ million in debt, and the money they receive goes to the Yeshivas (long story short, the Jews here are "taking over" [doing things illegally to get their way; I'm not trying to offend anyone. I'm saying most of the ones that live here are doing illegal things to get their way.]) No matter what the state does, or say they do, no change has been made. It just gets worse.

I guess it just doesn't have enough money. But there are far worse schools out there.
