Am I the only one excited for this game? I remember the little snippet they showed way back during the Direct all about the Switch. Then as soon as the demo was added, I immediately downloaded and played the bejebus out of it, and have now preordered the Wayfarer's Edition of the game.

So. Any other JRPG fans in here that are either psyched or mildly interested in this game?

Same! I was actually kinda surprised the release date was announced for as early as it was. I was expecting Q4 or even 2019 sometime.

Played one character of the demo, enjoyed it but had some concerns about the gameplay. Seems that they fixed a lot of those issues for the game's full release, but I'm probably not gonna get it until it goes on sale. It looks really good though and I am excited to play it someday!

I'm absolutely going to get it! I need my fix of RPG's and the Switch doesn't have that many yet. Not sure if I'm going to get the special edition though...

And once this game releases can Squeenix start working on Bravely Third, thanks.

I've got my eyes on it. I'm really curious as to how the game will play out. Will you get to play all 8 character introduction bits before the team meets up or do you just pick one main hero and then the others just tag along at certain points. That's what the did in Seiken Densetsu 3, the sequel to Secret of Mana.

I'm interested, but I feel like I need to see a bit more.

I did play the demo way back and it was really good.

I will get this if there’s a stand-alone physical version. Any word on the price of the digital version?

There's a standalone version. And I'm sure the digital copy will cost the same, $60 either way. That seems to be the trend with the rest of their major games.

The second demo just released! Who did everyone pick as their starting character now that we can choose from all 8?

I went with Tressa (the merchant), but I was interested in Alfyn (the apothecary) as well. I may choose him as my starting character in the full version...
I finished the first part of her path, swooped down to grab up Olberic (I skipped pretty much all of the text for him since it was the same as in the first demo's), then went back up north to get Cyrus. Already, some of the characters' stories are starting to connect (Cyrus wants to research Hornburg, the nation that Olberic was a knight for before it fell) so I can't wait to see what the full game does with this!
The game seems fairly easier than in the first demo. The only time I had a bit of trouble was with Olberic's boss, but even then I still beat it on my first try (and the trouble wasn't really with the boss itslef, I just didn't stock up on enough items beforehand). Then again this is the beginning of the game, I'd hope that it would ease you into the difficult of it.

I'm excited, but there are a ton of other games I want to get from Mega Man 11 to Monster Hunter to Captain Toad...I might not be able to preorder it to pick up at launch. I'm hoping in the coming months, I'll be able to find a new copy or used with original box when I'm able to pick up though.

I'm in this camp. After I heard it could be a 100+ hour game I mentally dropped in on my list of games to buy. I just don't have the time for something like that with so many other games out!

I'm really excited for this game, its so much fun and the graphics are so pretty! I picked the cleric girl to play in the demo and im having a lot of fun

I've played the hunter and the thief so far in the new demo.

I think Therion (thief) will be my first pick in the full game. His sarcasm and overall sense of humor is right up my alley.

Plus some of my favorite characters have been thieves.

Zidane and Locke, I'm lookin' at you!

The new demo is really good. I like how you get the option to play through all your allies prologues when you pick each of them up. I'm gonna play this a bit more and try out some more characters.

I kept seeing this game's name being mentioned in different places but never really gave it any mind since I don't play a lot of current games. I just so happened to see someone play part of the demo on a Twitch stream I was watching a few nights ago and it looks interesting. H'aanit's manner of speaking is a nice bit of flavor. I don't currently have a Switch but I might be interested in giving it a try myself. Hopefully that 3 hour demo is still available if/when I can purchase a Switch.

I hadn't cared about this game until recently, and I'm seriously impressed and quite captivated by the concept. I watched a little bit on a stream a couple weeks back of Olberic's route and I really liked what I saw just from his prologue alone. Great music, pretty good voice acting, and a nice in-depth combat system that's reminiscent of classic JRPGs.

I haven't looked into it beyond that, because I don't have a Switch, but damn do I have a reason to get one now. I know that the more I look into the game the more I'll get an itch to play it, but it's not practical for me to get a Switch at the moment so I'm doing my best to forget about it for now. Can't help but listen to the soundtrack while drawing though, it really is incredible.

Edit: I take back what I said about the voice acting... Most of it is actually quite bad, aside from the majority of the main cast. I like Primrose, Olberic, H'aanit and Cyrus's voices so far, but that's about it. Never been a huge fan of Greg Chun's performances (except for Adam in NieR:Automata), so Alfyn bothers me a little bit.

Picked up the game today. Looking forward to playing it (hopefully later tonight). Still haven't decided on my main though. I'm thinking I'll go with either Therion, Primrose or H'aanit. Mayyybe Tressa.

Anyone one else gotten the game?

I'm going to wait a bit longer. The sheer size of the game is pretty intimidating compared to the rest of my backlog

this is kinda where I'm at. I liked the game but I am not mentally prepared to start conquering an RPG of this size and want to wait for it to go on sale later on, after all the hype settles down
