So, I started and got nervous for a second, because it put me on the train. All I could think was that I had really messed up somehow. But it was Isabelle in the car. She came over and started to tell me about some changes that had been made in Salem (so happy when I heard her mention the town's name!). I guess that was standard for the first time you play after the amiibo update.
She went through the basics of the MEOW system then turned me loose. I noticed that I had 9 villagers, which made me panic for a minute, but I had let Peggy and Rocket move out, and only brought Midge in, so that makes sense. Everyone else looked to be in place.
No weeds, no bugs! Just going around town to say hello to everyone. Most were understanding (Roald and Mathilda scolded a bit), and Vic cried.
Oh, and Goldie was in the campsite and I convinced her to move to town! I know where I'd like her to move, but I'm not sure if the reset move still works. Here's hoping.
I was a little nervous beforehand that the drive-in campground was going to replace the campsite, which would have really messed things up. Nice to see it's a new area. I didn't spend much time there, but I'll check it out later, after I've settled everyone down about my disappearing for so long.
