Today was my concert, which, I must say, went rather well (I made one hardly noticeable mistake... You can only notice it if you know the music well, since I made the mistake blend into the rest of it :p). Well, I'm usually only nervous before concerts at around 5 minutes before I play, and then not at all... This time was a bit different, and I got worried as soon as I got into the building... A couple of people were playing before me, since this was an open stage type of thing, but since this was, err, the season finale, the concert was at a rather large stage...

So, I was 5th out of 9 acts, and I played two pieces... One Brazilian, by Heitor Villa-Lobos (4th Etude, if you're interested), and the most popular Farruca by legendary flamenco guitarist, Sabicas. The guy that was the host, after I played, came up to me and asked me if I wanted to participate in a "Local Artist Series" thing, where local artists showcase their talents in a 45 minute show, and they get payed. Who wouldn't want an extra buck? That's why I said yes.

:p

So overall, a great experience. Just thought I'd let you all know.

^_^

Oh yeah, and I'll have another concert May 7th, and another at the end of May. Haven't had concerts as frequently in 2005, so good stuff, overall.

Was it fun? I have a concert (band concert for school) at the end of May...
Yeah, I have a saxaphone concert at the end of may also.

Bul, great job with that! I wish I could hear some of your guitar playing, cuz' it sounds like your making awesome progress! Is there any way you can record a song and post it up here? (It doesnt sound possible to me, and if it ISNT possible, please dont say I'm stupid...).

Anyway, I never would have had the guts to do what you did. I hope your carreer continues! Pretty soon, your name will be up in lights!

:p

Heh, my dad recorded my part on camera, so that I could see how I sounded from the, err, camera's point of view. So we'll see if I can upload it, perhaps only as audio.

It may be kinda funny that you guys probably don't know what instrument he plays.

:p
