Well, then I'll repeat what I said in another Cycling thread:

Guys--just a reminder that this is a thread for Cycling--not a chat thread. Most people use the topic to keep an eye on who is getting cycled--especially when you say to check the thread. Do not turn it into a chat room :/ If you want to chat, save up for a group and make something there like the original Cycling thread/looking for Dream Villagers did.

I know it's still technically your thread, but it kind of kills part of the point of the forum when there's a giant topic full of chatting rather than what the purpose of the forum is in the first place.

It's essentially just an easy way to keep your thread bumped too which kind of overshadows other people's threads as well and that's not really fair to others either.

If you making a Cycling thread, use it for Cycling and those purposes. If you want a personal chat thread, make a group or chatroom. We have an off-topic forum for a reason and that's not where this topic is.

Y'know, The Admin's could've easily just made it so people don't get bells for posting in threads like this, Alot of other forums do this if people are going to consider this as a Spam section.

Personally, I don't feel that fixes the issue. Sure, maybe you don't get bells anymore but to be blunt, there shouldn't be off-topic posting in the first place. Otherwise forums wouldn't have topics. The occasional off-post is fine--pages of off-topicness is not.

Anyway, if you want to discuss--you are welcome to PM someone on staff, but continued posting about it here will just lead to having to lock the thread.
