I just finished my 3rd day of inviting Kidd to the campsite and now today is the day he decided to move in. I didn't know I can actually pick which villager I can boot. I thought it was completely random like when a villager shows up at the campsite randomly. Bye bye Hippeux. It was nice knowing you.

Someone please reach through the screen and slap me silly for not getting on these cards sooner!

I have some series 1 but stopped buying them a while ago. My friend occasionally sends me some home made ones though which is awesome because I'm broke (not to mention they're all being sold at like $20+ a pack which is such a rip off)

Exactly. That's why I stopped buy them. I'm not giving scalpers any more of my money. I got the card of the villager I really wanted so I'm happy for now. I might buy Bones and O'Hare's cards separately as those are the only other two villagers I want.

I've seen some really cute home made amiibos on etsy that also function as a little figure or keychain or something collectable. If I get a job soon I might get some of those.

Yeah, now if only they were available to people on a regular basis. Supply needs to be increased... and scalpers also need to get a life and find a real job. I was actually able to get quite a bundle of packs back in September, when there was another printing and Target was selling them. But of course, like every other time, they sold out within a couple of weeks. I never got a single pack of the Series 5 because of the scalpers either... but I refuse to give in an pay the exorbitant amount of $$$ that the scalpers charge.

I have a few cards and wish I could find more that were available. I also got excited when I learned you can CHOOSE who is being replaced on your island. Now I always have some of my favorite villagers around

I do love the idea of being able to have any villager you want via Amiibo cards as oppose to going on potentially long villager hunts or trading for them online. I'm considering buying some series 5 cards as I really want to have Ione on my island.

Me too. I'd love to collect them as well if they were a little cheaper. But it's nice to get a new pack and get a new villager easily accessible to you. The pack I got included Shino, that's very cool.

I actually said on another ac forum (for New Leaf) to someone asking whether they're worth it or not to buy in 2019 and I said nah, save your money! That was because I was getting my dream villagers for free in the giveaway towns in that forum & didn't see the need.

Then I got the bug for the Sanrio cards for NH since we can't adopt those villagers from other towns. And it became an addiction now! I'm not a collector, but I love opening those blind packs ha!

Yesss, I totally agree that they're super convenient and overall very worth it to collect!

I love being able to choose which villager of mine to replace with literally any other amiibo card villager in case I get bored of them or I just want to have someone new on my island. I only wish it didn't take three full days to have them move in, though I understand why they did it. ^^;

Some people enjoy villager hunting on mystery islands, but I much rather invite someone over with amiibo cards. I don’t collect them but I do have the full set of welcome amiibo villagers and a few random cards that my friends gave me. If I ever were to change my villagers, it would not be by dreamies or theme, but the best fit from whoever I have in my existing card pile. However, I wouldn’t buy new amiibo cards for a specific villager either. I’m just glad I already have a huge pile of villagers to choose from thanks to an impulse buy during my new leaf years (probably my first and last big AC merch purchase).
