You didn't miss anything Edit: I misread. You were supposed to hit l/r to change hair, eyes, etc. So yes, you missed a ton.

If you hit L/R you also get haircuts, eyes, lips/mouth, etc.

You could have changed your hair, eyes and face but dont worry you can do that later once you get the mirror.
