Opinions on My Nintendo?

The digital rewards the service gives are really underwhelming. The wallpapers in particular are very underwhelming and I can find better ones for free online.

The Gold Point rewards are very low for how much is spent, but you can usually snag one of those cheap eShop games on sale for free with them. Got a handful of games that way.

I never experienced Club Nintendo, so I don’t have that to compare to. It’s like any other free rewards system to me, so I think it’s fine. I use gold points for cheapo indies on sale or on things I am already planning to buy, and I use platinum points on icons and the odd physical reward that I would naturally be willing to pay for since shipping is charged.

The gold points are fine. I'd rather have these small discounts than not have anything. It can knock a few dollars off sometimes and that's pretty nice.

The platinum points are kinda pathetic though. The rewards are way too limited and I have more points than I can even spend at this point.

I use all my gold for a discount everytime I buy a new game. The platinum rewards haven't interested me in awhile though so I have a lot left unused. The last thing I got that I thought was worth it was the splatoon x pokemon keychains. I didn't use club nintendo much either but I remember using it to get 3DS games a few times, which was a nice option.

My Nintendo was really underwhelming at first, especially when they had no physical rewards. But it's really improved in the last couple years, and they now carry dozens of physical rewards. That includes two Animal Crossing items at the moment: A set of Roost coasters and a New Leaf bandana.

The only bad thing is that you have to pay shipping for the items, whereas shipping was free with Club Nintendo back in the day. And if you're only ordering one small item, the cost may not be worth it ($6.99 U.S. + tax too). But the shipping cost seems to stay the same even when ordering multiple items...so I usually wait until there are several things I want before placing an order.

I remember when there were Platinum Point discounts for choice 3DS games, that was cool. The meager small sum of gold points I'd earn helps me save a few bucks on a digital game I'm not sure I'd like, so it's a tiny bit helpful. Other than that, it's pretty underwhelming and feels like a weak rewards program.

I don't use it. I know it exists, but the things it offers don't interest me enough to look into it.

I don’t mind the point system and I do like how they will give users three chances to win sweepstakes but I miss being able to get free games and discounts and how the physical rewards require you to use the online Nintendo shop and then forcing you to pay shipping.
