Recently I wanted to try Wario Land 4, I've heard good things about it since it inspired some other games I'm interested in such as Pizza Tower and Anton Blast. Playing it, the game is very fun! But I selected hard mode (since that's what I typically play my games on) and that hides all the chest locations in secret spots, so that kinda sucks for me. Playing it I can definitely see why it's Wario's greatest achievement, but does anyone have anything else to say about the series?

I haven’t played these games personally, but from the videos I’ve seen, I like their fun, whimsical vibe. Most of the music is catchy. The bosses are terrifying, but are also uniquely designed, such as the Genie, the Golden Diva, Rudy the Clown. I’ve seen a lot of praise for Wario Land 4, and I understand why.

I haven’t played any Wario Land games. The closest to that I’ve gotten is when I tried out a Wario Ware game many, many years ago. I remember finding it very funny and entertaining. I think Wario Land 4 would be a great game to try out. I haven’t heard anything bad about it, honestly. I think you’d enjoy playing it.

Wario Land 4 is the only Wario Land title I've ever played, but it was a damn great game. The music was catchy and memorable, the visuals were up-to-par for a GBA game, and I loved how Wario handled; he really was a different character from Mario. I haven't played it in years (despite owning two copies at one point), though, so part of this is from my own nostalgic perspective on it. If I played it today, though, I doubt my opinion would change. Games don't change and get worse over time; it's all relative to our taste, after all. When I get the chance to play it, I may update this post.

They’re solid 2D platformers! I haven’t beaten any of them, but I have fond memories of Wario Land 1, 2 and 4. Wario Land Shake it is actually one of the games I’m most interested in collecting for the Wii. I hope the series gets a revival one day.

Warioland 4 is the only wario game I have played and I loved it and I still love it. The animations were fun, and the interaction with enemies and puzzle solving is great too. It had very nice pixel graphics, funky music/sound effects and just bizarre choices that make the game interesting. I am surprised and was disappointed that Nintendo didn't more more with the Warioland series even though it didn't sell as well as other Ningames during its day. Every person that I have ran into that had the game loved it. Those who didn't have it, had no idea what the game was or that it existed but it peaked their interest after finding out. I think maybe if more people were aware of the game existing to begin with, it would have sold just fine. Hint: Hey Nintendo! Reviving warioland games may pay off for you if you don't skimp on it.
I also played the demo of Antonblast, and it feels very warioland like so I look forward to that game coming out. It has many similar charms that warioland4 had. Already on my wishlist on Steam. I actually have more fun playing that demo than I do Warioland4 today. I don't know if it is because Antonblast is so new to me while I played Warioland4 many times already, or if it was just improved upon that much that it outshines Warioland4.

Personally I'm very excited for Antonblast, so much so it was the first game I ever funded on Kickstarter.

I love it. Wario is a hilarious and strong character, and there’s all sorts of fun transformations and treasures.

I’ve played the three GB(C) games via 3DS Virtual Console, and they’re all good games but quite different from one another. I think my favorite is 3, but it took some time for me to warm up to it as it’s nonlinear and Wario is missing all of his abilities in the beginning. Once you make some progress, though, it gets really good, and it has beautiful graphics and sound. The Game Boy Color does not get enough credit for its wonderful use of colors. I feel like the GBA often pales in comparison!

That’s not to say I hate 1 and 2. 1 is more like standard Mario games, with normal powerups and Wario being able to die. 2 introduced most of the things we associate with Wario Land, but it’s kind of forgotten about compared to later titles. Both of these games are linear with some occasional path diversions to find more optional treasure, whereas in 3 the treasure is required to be found to unlock new areas and retrieve Wario’s abilities and the music boxes.

I have yet to play 4 or Shake It. Hopefully someday I will!

I guess a little update from this, I beat the game just yesterday. Overall I thought it was great, and makes me wish there was more Wario Land games from Nintendo. Also that credits song is going to have those compressed lyrics stuck in my head, lol.

Wario Land 3 is amazing, I love it. 4 was alright but I also feels it was a bit bland. Sure collecting music was fun but they quite didn't make bosses fun to do.

Definitely get 3 one way or another if you can. I love the silly sense of humor in it.
